Privacy policy

Health Beyond Hurdles / Santé Sans Obstacles is a proposed nonprofit based in Regina, Saskatchewan. Our first program, the Newcomer Health Navigation Project, helps newcomers understand and use Saskatchewan's healthcare system in French and English. The organization is still in formation. Once it is incorporated, this policy will be updated with our registered name and address.

Only what you type into a form on this site:

• Contact form: your name, your email address, the reason you are writing, and your message.
• Newsletter signup: your email address.
• Nothing else. There are no accounts, no logins, and no payment information on this site.

To answer you, to send you the updates you asked for, and to understand what kind of support newcomers in Saskatchewan are looking for so we can build the right program. That is all.

• We never sell, rent, or trade your information.
• We never share it with advertisers or data brokers.
• We never share your information with an employer, a landlord, a school, or any immigration or government body, unless the law requires it of us.
• We never use your contact with us as a condition for receiving help.

We are not a healthcare provider. We have no access to your health record, and we do not ask for your health card number, your diagnosis, or your immigration file. Please do not send medical or immigration documents through the forms on this site. If you need to share something sensitive, contact us first and we will tell you the safe way to do it.

This site runs no advertising cookies and no third party analytics. Your browser stores two preferences on your own device: the theme you chose, light or dark, and your language. Those stay on your device and are never sent to us.

• Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
• Contact messages: only as long as we need them to answer you and follow up, then they are deleted.

You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to info@healthbeyondhurdles.ca and we will respond. Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA, gives you these rights and we intend to respect them fully.

This site is hosted by a third party hosting provider, and form submissions may be processed on servers located outside Canada. We will name our hosting and email providers here once they are final.

This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. Significant changes will also be mentioned in our newsletter.
